What principals and teachers have said...

"Twenty students at Sandalwood Heights Secondary School have had the opportunity to work with Jonathan Hood and some of his fellow players for the Hamilton Tiger Cats in their “Ahead of the Game” mentoring program.  A teacher found them to be consistent, professional and able to relate to students.  This has been a very positive addition to our after school programming and has given our students some powerful role models. I am happy to recommend “Ahead of the  Game”.

"Jonathan Hood’s motivational presentations to both the Gr. 4-8 and K-3 groups were phenomenal!  All of the students were very excited, and they were thrilled that he signed their autographs.  Staff too. They were still talking about Jonathan today."

"The Ahead of The Game mentorship group has been a tremendous success for everyone involved at Sandalwood Heights Secondary School.  A diverse group of students leaders came together to change their lives and those around them.  The students are engaged in topics that directly affect them,  promoting critical thinking skills based on their values and morals.  Through this program , each student has truly realized their full potential. Both Jonathan and Ryan use their genuine, compassionate personalities to lead by example and produce an environment in which the students can develop their own identity.  I am grateful to have been a part of the Ahead of The Game program."

"A great mentor is one who creates and inspires others to develop their skills to become a leader. When I was developing the professional mentorship program for the academic society, Student Management Association (SMA), here at the University of Toronto Mississauga (UTM), I was looking for a mentor who could provide value to our undergraduate students. I first ran into Jonathan Hood at one of our professional speaker series, where he engaged students with enthusiasm and provided a great knowledge platform to develop their skills and more importantly their attitude and character. At that point I knew Jonathan would be the perfect individual fit to kick start our mentorship program, of course his additional professional and personal experience only made him more of an asset to our academic society.

When developing the 6 week program, Jonathan offered so much insight and flexibility; everything from building a network to developing business plans, he truly was one in a million. Of course his well established and creditable Ahead of the Game youth mentorship program only proved his success rate and experience working within the youth community. On a personal level, Jonathan has been a mentor for me and fostered many opportunities throughout my academic and professional career. Whether it was luck or fate, I am truly grateful to call Jonathan not only an ideal coach or role model, but a friend. The mentorship program he helped create here at the institute has provided a pathway for many of our young business professionals to be more opened minded and improve their confidence. If you are looking for someone to engage youths to reach for the stars and become leaders amongst their peers, Jonathan Hood is exactly who you need."
